The Department of Defense has identified 3,118 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

BROWNING, Brian A., 20, Pfc., Army; Astoria, Ore.; 10th Mountain Division.

HILL, Tarryl B., 19, Pfc., Marines; Shelby Township, Mich.; Fourth Marine Division.

SELLEN, Dennis L. Jr., 20, Specialist, Army; Newhall, Calif.; First Battalion, 185th Infantry.

SPENCER, Clarence T., 24, Pvt., Army; San Diego; First Cavalry Division.
