The Department of Defense has identified 3,529 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

MARTIN, Shawn P., 30, Sgt., Marines; Delmar, N.Y.; 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, First Marine Expeditionary Force.

TRACY, Jacob T., 20, Pfc., Army; Palestine, Ill.; First Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Tex.

WILSON, Stephen J., 28, Staff Sgt., Marines; Duluth, Ga.; 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, First Marine Expeditionary Force.
