Carl Zimmer has an excellent discusion of two Technical Comments in the Oct 14 issue of Science about the Hobbit brain, in which a German team challenges an earlier analysis by Dean Falk et al. and Falk et al. respond to the challenge. As Carl and the comments themselves make clear, this issue is far from resolved.
